Indications:

For remission induction in acute promyelocytic leukemia (APML; FAB-AML-M3 classification). Ematra can be prescribed to previously untreated patients, patients who have relapsed after standard chemotherapy (anthracyclines and cytosine arabinoside or their analogs), or patients refractory to any chemotherapy. The combined use of chemotherapy and tretinoin increases survival time and reduces the risk of relapse compared to chemotherapy alone.
