Indications:

Prophylaxis of invasive fungal infections in allogeneic bone marrow transplant patients at high risk of such a complication.

Voriconazole should be used in adults and children for the treatment of:

• Invasive aspergillosis;
• Candidemia, not accompanied by neutropenia;
• Severe invasive infections caused by Candida (including C. krusei ) resistant to fluconazole;
• Severe fungal infections caused by Scedosporium and Fusarium species.

For patients with progressive or life-threatening infections, Vfend should be used as initial therapy.
